Overview
Business Process
Engineeing (BPE) is a discipline that overseeing how work is performed in
an organization to ensure consistent outcomes and realize improvement
opportunities. This course approaches is a "theory in
practice" discipline, emphasizing that operational excellence is achieved
by capitalizing on evidence rather than relying on intuition. We treat BPE as a
boundary-spanning field, positioned at the intersection of Business Management
(focused on performance and compliance), Industrial Engineering (applying
manufacturing optimization to services), and Information Technology (providing
the shared language and automation frameworks necessary for modern execution).
